Amy Schumer será la nueva Barbie contra viento y marea

La marca Mattel decidió dar un paso adelante de la producción de la película de Barbie, la muñeca emblema de la compañía. Para este reto el presidente de Sony, Tom Rothman eligió a Amy Schumer, la actriz, comediante y productora, para interpretar a la muñeca más famosa del mundo.

La crítica no se ha hecho esperar con la elección de Amy Schumer, pues la actriz está lejos de representar los cánones de belleza irreal de la Barbie: piel tersa y siempre bronceada, peinado perfecto, y medidas imposibles para cualquier mujer. Sin embargo, Sony mantuvo firme su decisión y afirmó que la comediante es la ideal para el puesto.

Según el portal Deadline, especializado en cine hollywoodense, la actriz interpretará a una barbie ‘imperfecta’ en Barbieland, la ciudad ficticia de donde será expulsada por no cumplir con los parámetros de belleza.

El papel de esta Barbie se adaptará a las características físicas y psicológicas de Schumer. Sin embargo, varios usuarios a través de las redes sociales criticaron la elección de Schumer porque su estados físico no es el apropiado para interpretar a la muñeca de Mattel.

Sin embargo la actriz respondió con esta foto publicada en su cuenta de Instagram que dice: “Yo digo que sí soy hermosa, digo que sí soy fuerte, y tu no determinarás mi historia”.
